How support naturally arises when people are connected through a deep bond.
I had a bike accident near Solar Kitchen, and a fracture suddenly left me unable to stand. I was incredibly fortunate that fellow Aurovilians immediately came to my aid—Rotem first, and then Afsaneh, who brought me to our office. As if guided by a higher power, Arielle arrived at exactly that moment. She took me to Sai Krupa and helped organise everything that was needed.
Through her, AVHS arranged caregivers to stay with me in the hospital for two nights. After the surgery, she also coordinated a convalescent room in Arka, which has been amazing. It took me a little time to process that I would not be able to return home for many weeks, but everything necessary for recovery appeared—a walker, a wheelchair, night caregivers, and so much loving support.
Friends brought me essential belongings and helped with shopping, and soon I even had a small kitchenette set up. While the fracture was unfortunate, the help, care, and compassion I received have been truly extraordinary. I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible services Auroville offers.
My sincere thanks to the AVHS team, the Arka team, SHARAN office staff, and my dear friends—Girvani, Rochna, Afsaneh, Dr. Sonia, Shalu, Deepika, Rohit, and many others who supported me and offered help through this challenging time.
Thank you, from my heart.
